Clearly We Care
To quote Dr. Greg Wallace, we think it’s important to “take care of the needs in our own backyard.”
We take every opportunity to make a positive impact on our community, from collecting donations for the food bank and sponsoring local sports teams to partnering with aid agencies to provide affordable eye care for the most disadvantaged in our community and beyond.

Meeting Needs at Home
We love Kelowna, and as active members of the community, we believe it’s our responsibility to give back. Every year, we choose 3 charities that are important to us, and we give our patients the opportunity to make donations.
Of course, no one is ever under any pressure to donate—we just like to foster an atmosphere of giving and generosity.
2024 World Sight Day Challenge For Optometry: Giving Sight
Optometry Giving Site helps transform the lives of over 1.1 billion people who are blind or vision-impaired simply because they lack access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses.

Meeting Needs Around the World
Poor eye health is a global problem, and as eye care professionals, we feel it’s our duty to help wherever we can. Our doctors have travelled all over the world, participating in eye care missions.
We’ve provided eye care to the needy in Morocco, Colombia, Perú, Ecuador, Nicaragua, India, Bolivia, and Myanmar.
Improving Sanitation Facilities in the Community
Our team believes in supporting causes that make a real difference. That’s why we’re excited to sponsor the Women’s Longest Drive at the 2025 Rotary Pro-Am Golf Tournament.
The funds raised will go toward improving sanitation facilities for those experiencing homelessness in our communities. It’s a great way to give back while celebrating women’s strength.
No Co-Pay Eye Exams for Kids
Every child deserves a strong start to lifelong vision health. That’s why we offer no co-pay eye exams for kindergarten students. Just let us know your child is in kindergarten, and we’ll take care of the rest.
While schools may offer basic vision screenings, our in-office exams go much further. Using advanced technology like Optos imaging and MYAH for axial length measurements in nearsighted kids, we can assess not only how well your child sees, but also check for signs of eye disease and track early changes in nearsightedness.
These tools don’t travel to schools, but they’re standard in our exams. Because when it comes to your child’s vision, we believe in giving them every advantage possible.
Keeping Kelowna’s Kids Seeing Clearly
Vision is crucial to a child’s development. We offer pediatric eye care and a great selection of kid’s glasses. We also support a number of programs designed to promote eye health and care for children:
Children’s Low Vision Project of BC
Through the Children’s Low Vision Project of BC program, visually impaired students are assessed and provided with the technology they need to succeed in the classroom.
Help Us Give Back
We believe in giving back to our community both locally and globally. We partner with fantastic organizations to ensure that no one goes without comprehensive eye care and eyewear to meet their needs.
Please book an appointment at Tutt Street Optometry today, and be a part of our mission to help others.
